Cav Systems solutions allow Ostiv-Tivall executives to access updated sales information from anywhere in the world through a Web browser
Ostiv, of the Tivall Group, has implemented two systems developed by Cav Systems. One system is being used by Ostiv's sales representatives for online services and the other produces Web-based information reports for executives.
More than 120 Ostiv sales representatives already use the Kav Shivuk order entry system that utilizes cellular technology and a Web browser to capture and access information remotely. Representatives in the field use the application using WAP technology on MIRS devices. Kav Shivuk is based on InterSystems Caché, replaces fax or telephone-based order entry and manages the marketing and distribution for approximately 600 point-of-sale units throughout Israel.

The use of another Cav Systems solution allows Ostiv-Tivall executives to access up-to-date sales information from anywhere in the world by means of standard Web browser. Executives can review relevant information at their convenience and produce online queries and reports such as financial reports and sales analyses.
Rafi Saberger, manager of information systems for Ostiv-Tivall, said the combination of the Cav Systems solutions and Cache that provides Web access shortens and streamlines work cycles. "The use of Web-based technologies enable us to respond immediately and make decisions based on the latest information," he said.
The system also consists of various tools including control, reporting, credit, transactions, discounts and promotion management. Cav Systems serves customers from a variety of industries, including the Jerusalem Bank, Shastovich (importers of Colgate, Gillette and Braun), Kravitz, Opticana, Wissotski Tea, Mei Eden, Pri Galil, and Davidovitch Bakeries.
